A Dedicated Advocate for Active Communication, Academic Support, School & Food Safety, and Budget Transparency in ECS

My wife and I made Eastpointe our home in August 2022. Since then, I have focused on finding meaningful ways to serve this community. After retiring as a manager of operations at AAA Michigan Insurance, I dedicated my time to mentoring and education. I have been teaching Sunday school and Bible studies since 1996. This includes at Love Life Fellowship Christian Center under Pastor Kevin W. Lancaster, where I help welcome new members through our Next Steps ministry. I also spent three years with the Junior Achievement Program, introducing high school students to business structures. Throughout 2026, I have consistently attended Easpointe Community Schools Board of Education Meetings to understand our district's unique responsibilities. I am fully committed to supporting our district, helping our students thrive, and ensuring parents and students are equipped with the very best educational tools and updates.
I am stepping up to run for the Eastpointe Community Schools Board of Education because I truly believe it is time for new energy, and a fresh perspective. My decision to put my name on the ballot comes down to a very simple goal: I want to support the parents and children throughout our district. Our families deserve dedicated advocacy. I have the time, the energy, and the sincere desire to do this work. Since late 2025, I have been attending our regular school board meetings, deeply studying the issues, and understanding the responsibilities of this office. I am ready to listen to our families, focus entirely on our kids, and help our district navigate the latest changes in education. I have the drive and commitment to serve, and I would be honored to earn your trust and work for you.
Parent and Community Communication: I will prioritize keeping parents and students informed about every important change in our district, and actively encourage families to attend school board meetings to share their voices.
Student Academic Support: I will fight to put students first academically, making sure our district stays current with the best educational practices and that every child is provided with the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive at ECS.
School and Food Safety: I will work to ensure every student is safe in our buildings, and that our food programs meet the highest standards, especially given the many changes happening in today's society.
Budget Transparency: I will make sure parents and the community always know how our district's money is being spent, building the trust and strong rapport our families deserve with their hometown district.
